Jackie Bice, Volunteer Coordinator, Thanks God for Volunteer Group
Jackie had special reason to thank God when she learned of the acceptance of our ministry to the AmeriCorps NCCC Volunteer Program. Jackie had learned of AmeriCorps NCCC while researching for groups interested in volunteer and service jobs.
AmeriCorps NCCC is a U.S. federal government program that was created under President Bill Clinton by the National and Community Service Trust Act of 1993 and later expanded by President George W. Bush. More than 85,000 individuals join AmeriCorps NCCC annually, totaling more than 500,000 past and present members since 1994 who offer their volunteer services. Specifically for Camp, there are 8 volunteers working on our cabin renovation project for six weeks – costing EHV absolutely nothing! “The AmeriCorp NCCC group alone will save us over $40,000 in labor costs which is astronomical,” said Jackie. “We are so thankful for them and all our volunteers!”
A special “Thank You” to AmeriCorps NCCC for their hard work!
